MEDICAL HEALTH |
There is little impact of high altitude in visitors to the Cordillera Blanca and the Cordillera Huayhuash. This is due to the tropical microclimates and ecosystems characteristic of this region, as well as its lower elevation compared to other Andean regions. Huaraz is 400 meters lower than Cusco, and 1,000 meters lower than Puno. However, the trekking and climbing programs are true expeditions and require good physical conditions, and technical expertise for some of the climbing itineraries. We recommend a complete medical check-up and a consistent physical activity/fitness (hiking, jogging, bicycling, swimming, dancing, aerobics, mountaineering) or other fitness program, well in advance of the Andes trip. |
RESPONSIBILITY |

Reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made where deemed advisable for the comfort and well being of passengers.
Cordillera Blanca Adventures assumes no liability regarding provision of medical care. If you or your clients have medical problems we recommend that you have a medical certificate filled by the traveler and his/her physician. Climbers are responsible for selecting a trip according to their capability and experience, and bringing appropriate personal camping gear/or equipment, without jeopardizing his/her safety and the safety of the group.
